Ministry Team

Pastor Brent Pennings

I grew up on a dairy farm near Orange City, Iowa.  God’s initial call into ministry came when I was twelve years old, following a near-fatal accident while I was operating farm equipment.

God spared my life for a reason.  Following high school, I decided to enroll in the Pre-Seminary program at Dordt College, Sioux Center, Iowa. After graduating from Dordt, I continued my preparation for ministry at Calvin Theological Seminary, Grand Rapids, Michigan.  I received my Masters of Divinity degree and was ordained into ministry on October 31, 1989.

I married Dianne Slotegraaf, following my year internship, on August 20, 1988.  Dianne is from Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.  We have three children: Kendra, Breanna, and Adam. Our family has served churches in Michigan and North Carolina before moving to Baldwinsville, New York.
